How long has HMG Creative been around?
HMG Creative officially launched in June 2003 with our first office in San Diego. In October 2010 we migrated south, opening up our second location in Austin and we’ve been here ever since. Between our co-founders, we have more than twenty years of online marketing and branding experience. Over the past several years, we’ve become one of the go-to agencies when it comes to website design and brand development in Austin, TX and San Diego, CA.
Why can't I find pricing on your website?
Every website we design is custom-built for each client, right down to every single graphic and functionality requirement. Therefore, it’s important for us to sit down with you and talk through your project and your needs before we can give you a proposal and cost estimate. What are your payment terms?
Our typical payment terms require a 50% deposit, 25% payment at thirty days after the start of your project and final payment upon the project’s completion. However, we do offer different payment options for larger projects. We also offer monthly payment options for ongoing services.

What is the cost of a website?
We’ve done it all, from small websites to large, so it ultimately depends on the size and scope of the project. Depending on your budget, we’ll most likely be able to work with you and accommodate your needs—don’t hesitate to get in touch with us so we can create a custom quote for you.
Why do we ask for a budget?
There are many ways to build a website, each with different pros/cons and price points. Knowing a general budget allows us to make recommendations on how to help you get the most for your money.
What's the typical turnaround time for a website build?
Typically the planning, design, development and launch phases all take somewhere between 4-8 weeks; however, larger or more complex websites may take longer. Because we focus on custom sites, we want to work with you throughout the entire process to ensure that the final product meets your needs. One of the first things you’ll receive is a detailed timeline for the project to assure you that we meet each stage of the project on time. Good communication with our clients is important, and we want to make sure that you’re on board every step of the way.
Can you also host my website?
Yes. Although not required, we host approximately 95% of our client’s sites. All servers are secure and backed up on a weekly basis, and we have a 99.9% up-time guarantee for all of our hosted sites.
What happens to my website after it is launched?
Upon successful launch of your site, we’ll begin to monitor the site’s performance and recommend ongoing marketing initiatives based on the data gathered. This is a great time to discuss advertising opportunities such as PPC, email and traditional media.

In regards to edits and site changes, we offer ongoing support services that will allow you to keep us in pocket for any on-demand requests.

What is the difference between on-site and off-site SEO?

Site ranking is generally “cumulative” and below are some factors considered:

Why doesn't my website rank well in the search engines?
Having a high-ranking website in search engines is a specific science, and the rules for SEO are constantly changing. While there are a number of reasons you could have a poor ranking, here are a few you may want to consider:
