2016 has been quite the year for HMG Creative. Like any business we’ve had our ups, like when Ben and Jerry’s visited our office, thanks to the expert tweeting of our intern Kate. We’ve also had a few downs, like when we ran out of coffee on a Monday! As we get ready to take on 2017, we are looking back at what we have done over the past year.

Let’s start with the most recent change: WE MOVED! From Bee Caves to Ben White, HMG Creative has set up shop in the 78704. In culinary terms, we’ve traded Panera Bread for Torchy’s, Rudy’s BBQ for PoK-e-Jo’s, and Trader Joe’s for Central Market. We also now have more food trucks than you could shake a corndog at!

Now, on to our accomplishments! We’ve been recognized and ranked alongside other esteemed businesses in our industry. Over the past year, we’ve won the Award of Distinction (The Communicator Awards), and went on to take home a Silver W³ (General education section) for our work on the Raise Your Hand Texas website. We were also honored to make it onto a few prestigious lists. You can find HMG listed in the Top 21 Website Development Firms (Austin Business Journal), as well as the Top 25 Web Design Agencies in Austin, TX (UpCity).

Our team also had a big year! First off, we’re thrilled to congratulate Ian for his marriage, and his wonderful wife Kate for her impeccable taste. Then, even more congratulations are in order, this time for Jeremy and his fiancée on their engagement. Good luck with the wedding planning! Ryan, however, has had a rough on-again, off-again relationship with carbs, foregoing tortillas and Halloween candy. Although, we are happy to report he’s doing BUTTER than ever. In other news, James and the family moved to a new home, and are excited to begin making new memories. The highpoint of the year for Johnny was when HMG swept the competition as the leader of the 2016 Pixelwood Derby hosted by SiteGoals, winning first place in speed, team spirit, and two head-to-head challenge races! As for Kate, she spent the first half of the year in Europe living the dream, and returned to the amazing opportunity of working with the superlatively wonderful members of HMG Creative.

Overall, you could say that 2016 was one for the books. We now look forward to what 2017 has in store for us, and cordially invite the year to bring it! Thank you to all of our clients and families who have been with us throughout the years, as well as those who are just now joining. Now, let’s wrap up 2016 right!

Happy New Years!!
