#TeamTuesday – James Trumbly

Posted on Aug 29, 2016 by

We saved the best #TeamTuesday for last. None of the HMG Creative team would be here if it weren’t for our Founder and Managing Partner. He started from his room and now we’re here… in Austin.

James Trumbly is originally from Amarillo, Texas, but has lived in many different places. After high school, James joined the Marine Corps and served for four years. While in the Marines, he began school at Park University where he studied Social Psychology. As he was finishing up college, James created what is now known as HMG Creative. Outside of managing one of the top web design firms in Austin, James enjoys being outdoors wakeboarding, wake surfing, and playing tennis, but also loves catching live music downtown.

He is pretty open with the team and although we are his employees, he treats us like friends. To get to know him a little more, we had him answer a few questions:

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

  • Koh Phi Phi Leh, Thailand – breathtaking views & beaches. Also, from what I’ve heard it’s very inexpensive compared to other tropical destinations.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

  • Blue Bell Ice Cream – Rocky Road

If you could learn another language, what would it be?

  • Spanish. One day I plan on retiring in Costa Rica so I better pick up a copy of Rosetta Stone.

If you had to be on a reality TV show, which one would you choose?

  • Shark Tank – I’m fascinated by the ingenuity and passion inventors bring to the show.

Thank you James for choosing us to be on your team at HMG Creative. We look forward to growing with you and the agency in years to come.
