According to Dictionary.com, his last name means “to get out of a bus” and we’re oh so happy that “Debus” stopped here. Meet our email marketing developer, Dave Debus!

Originally from Kansas City, Kansas, Dave studied Illustration and Graphic Design at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. After leaving the sunshine state, Dave moved to the great city of Austin. In December of 2015, Dave began working for HMG Creative as the email marketing developer and has loved it here since. At work Dave is known for creating top of the line email marketing campaigns, but also known for his recommendations for the best food joints in Austin. On his days off, you can find him spending time with his family outside or shooting guns.

HMG asked Dave a few questions to really get to know him. Here they are:

What is your favorite restaurant in Austin?

• Via 313 or if I am in the burbs, Big Cat BBQ.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

• Marina Bay Sands in Singapore to swim in the world’s highest infinity pool.

What is your spirit animal and why?

• Panda. They just like to have a good time adventuring outside and eating all day.

Why and how did you choose your major?

• I went to an Arts & Science magnet high school. My father really got me interested. He was an artist, but worked at a newspaper pressroom.

Dave is energetic and has some great Uber stories from his past experience as a driver. He is definitely a great asset to the HMG Creative Team.
