Seven years strong, Austin Fashion Week is the largest fashion event in Texas. The weeklong show will feature an all-new lineup of events. Top swimwear designers will have an event titled “Swim.” Indie and emerging designers will have “Discover,” while “Stars Presented By Bernina” will have shows by designers that have been featured on Lifetime Television’s show Project Runway All Stars. The finale will showcase Austin’s own talent, as well as Mash Ups Runway Show and the presentation of the Austin Fashion Awards. Throughout the week brunch will be served and a gallery of pop up shops will be open for pre & post show viewing all four nights.

April 17 – April 19

For over 10 years, the Lone Star Round Up has been considered one of the best car shows in the country. The description really says it all: “hot rods and custom cars gather here from every corner of the country to create something special.” Not only will the event have some really cool cars to look at, the weekend will also feature live music, art exhibits, swap meets, and venders. Even if you can’t make it out to Travis County Expo Center, keep an eye out for some of the cars throughout the weekend, especially down South Congress.

If you’re looking to spend your weekend laughing – a lot – grab a badge for the Moontower Comedy & Oddity Festival. It’s kind of like SXSW but for comedy, taking place at various venues and theatres throughout downtown. Notable headlining acts include Patton Oswalt, Marc Maron, Wanda Sykes, Ron White, and more. You can get a four-day badge for the whole festival or you can get single tickets for headliner events.
