He has been representing Burnt Orange Nation at HMG Creative longer than anyone else. While his quiet humor may catch some off guard, that’s the reason we love him. Meet our Creative Director and Managing Partner, Johnny Jeffers!
Johnny is from Amarillo, Texas and grew up alongside HMG Creative’s founder, James Trumbly. He went to The University of Texas at Austin for Economics and ended up falling in love with the city and the ability to see live music any day of the week. His creativity and passion for design started early but really came to fruition during his years of playing music, as he took on the responsibility of creating all of his band’s merchandise, websites, and marketing materials. Since then he has had an eye for design and is now the lead of our creative team.
We wanted to get to know Johnny a little better and bring out his witty side, so we asked him these questions:
What is your favorite restaurant in Austin?
- Uchiko
A penguin walks through that door right now wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he here?
- He says “Hola Amigo” and he is here to take me to lunch. I’ll order enchiladas and he’ll be having the Brrrrrrrrito.
What song best describes your work ethic?
Do you think there are aliens/ other living species on other planets?
- Yes, there is no other explanation for Donald Trump. He is from another planet…not in a good way.
Whether he’s sitting quietly doing work or cracking witty jokes to one of the employees, Johnny is a great addition to the HMG Creative team.
