Texans are finally moving away from shorts and sandals, to pants and sweaters. Winter is coming, and it’s time to have some fun. Although Texas does not have the snow you’d find in the Northern states which means you won’t be seeing any down jackets and ear muffs but families can still get into the holiday spirit with fun activities around Austin. Whether you want to take a stroll to soak in the pretty Christmas lights, or you are looking for a more structured activity, there is something for everyone this December. Continue…
It’s halfway through December and the holidays are coming in hot! Think about your dream office. Perhaps it’s the Google campus or the Nike headquarters. Not only are these two companies great brands and powerful names, but you can only imagine how cool the building and rooms are designed.
When it comes to the work environment, the look, feel and atmosphere can really affect the productivity of the company. Studies have shown (including our own) that employees would rather work in a creative space rather than an all white painted concrete room. We are excited to share that we have been included in the Top 21 web development companies in the US by the Austin Business Journal. The list is constructed of firms that “specialize in website design, development and digital marketing.” In 2015, much of the demand that fueled these agencies came from fast-moving online sectors—sports betting sites UK among them—where competition for visibility pushed companies to invest heavily in web development. Each of the firms earned their ranking based on revenue that year, and together the 21 companies brought in $35 million. Not only do each of the firms make up some of the most successful website developers, they also all have headquarters in Austin. Continue…

We saved the best #TeamTuesday for last. None of the HMG Creative team would be here if it weren’t for our Founder and Managing Partner. He started from his room and now we’re here… in Austin.
When it comes to developing and designing a website, there are two options. Hiring a professional agency to handle the coding and upkeep of the website, or doing it yourself with programs already online. It’s great that sites like Squarespace, Wix, Weebly, etc. are around for those who need them but lack the funds for a web developer or time to learn to code. But unfortunately, the DIY websites aren’t the best choice for everyone. Yes, you will be paying more than $20 a month for your site, but if you were to hire a professional, you would have the freedom to create something that fits your company’s personality. Continue…
