#TeamTuesday – James Trumbly
We saved the best #TeamTuesday for last. None of the HMG Creative team would be here if it weren’t for our Founder and Managing Partner. He started from his room and now we’re here… in Austin.

Welcome to the second part of Web Design Terms for Dummies. In Volume 1, visual design and discovery terms were introduced, as well as a few more general terms. In this article, we will touch on five very common and important terms in a story form for better understanding. We will later introduce the final set of web design terms in an upcoming section called: Development, Testing and Launch.
According to Dictionary.com, his last name means “to get out of a bus” and we’re oh so happy that “Debus” stopped here. Meet our email marketing developer, Dave Debus!
Originally from Kansas City, Kansas, Dave studied Illustration and Graphic Design at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. After leaving the sunshine state, Dave moved to the great city of Austin. In December of 2015, Dave began working for HMG Creative as the email marketing developer and has loved it here since. At work Dave is known for creating top of the line email marketing campaigns, but also known for his recommendations for the best food joints in Austin. On his days off, you can find him spending time with his family outside or shooting guns.

This past semester brought about a lot of changes to my life. While most of my friends decided to study abroad for the second semester of their junior year, I chose to stay in Austin, focus on my studies and get an internship. As winter break came to a close and the semester was about to begin, I started to doubt my decision to not go abroad. Did I just miss out on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Will I regret staying in Austin while my friends travel the world? Taking a deep breath, I dove into second semester with as much optimism as I could.
It was indeed a tough race, competing against some pretty impressive derby cars, but we are so ecstatic to announce that our team, Britney Steers, brings home the gold (plated plastic) for speed in the 2016 Pixelwood Derby! We could not have done it without the help of every member of the HMG team.
If you like impromptu weekend beach trips, awesome food trucks, and Rainey Street bars, keep looking because we have that man on OUR team!
Ryan joined the HMG Creative team in August 2015 after perfecting his pizza making skills at a San Marcos pizza parlor. A recent graduate from Texas State University with a BFA in Communication Design, Ryan has shown off his skills as a visual designer on our growing team. He wanted to become a member of HMG Creative due to the diversity of our projects. In addition to letting his creative mind fly, he likes the small company aspect that HMG provides. When he’s not watching Adam Sandler movies or eating an unnecessary amount of pistachios, he’s creating awesome graphic design work for our clients and blog posts.
We are proud to announce that HMG recently won a FAVE award for, “FAVE Small Business!” Thank you so much to everyone who supported us in our quest to “three peat!” We are thrilled to have received this honor, and we are unbelievably thankful for everyone’s support and votes – we truly couldn’t have done it without you!
It’s really hard to believe that my time at HMG is already coming to an end. Time sure does fly by when you are learning as much as I am! Serving as an intern at HMG has proven to be a smart decision and a very valuable experience. Since I am pursuing a degree in public relations as UT Austin, I was looking to gain as much experience in the realm of communications and marketing as possible. Working as a social media and marketing intern has taught me a great deal of knowledge in the professional communications industry.
