How to Make Your Office More Productive

Think about your dream office. Perhaps it’s the Google campus or the Nike headquarters. Not only are these two companies great brands and powerful names, but you can only imagine how cool the building and rooms are designed.

When it comes to the work environment, the look, feel and atmosphere can really affect the productivity of the company. Studies have shown (including our own) that employees would rather work in a creative space rather than an all white painted concrete room. A few things that will spice up the office are colors, shaped furniture, greenery and views. Continue…

It’s Time To Say Adieu

This past semester brought about a lot of changes to my life. While most of my friends decided to study abroad for the second semester of their junior year, I chose to stay in Austin, focus on my studies and get an internship. As winter break came to a close and the semester was about to begin, I started to doubt my decision to not go abroad. Did I just miss out on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Will I regret staying in Austin while my friends travel the world? Taking a deep breath, I dove into second semester with as much optimism as I could.

#TeamTuesday – Ryan Johnston

If you like impromptu weekend beach trips, awesome food trucks, and Rainey Street bars, keep looking because we have that man on OUR team!

Ryan joined the HMG Creative team in August 2015 after perfecting his pizza making skills at a San Marcos pizza parlor. A recent graduate from Texas State University with a BFA in Communication Design, Ryan has shown off his skills as a visual designer on our growing team. He wanted to become a member of HMG Creative due to the diversity of our projects. In addition to letting his creative mind fly, he likes the small company aspect that HMG provides. When he’s not watching Adam Sandler movies or eating an unnecessary amount of pistachios, he’s creating awesome graphic design work for our clients and blog posts.

Meet Jenna: HMG’s New Social Media and Marketing Intern

Hi! I’m Jenna Meltzer, the 2016 Social Media and Marketing intern, and I am so excited to kick off the new year as the newest member of the HMG Creative team. I am currently a junior at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in public relations and pursuing a business certificate from the McCombs School of Business. Born and raised in a small suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I knew I wanted to get out of the tiny bubble in which I had lived my entire life, and experience a new culture during my college years. After visiting Austin for the first time, I immediately fell in love with the young vibe of the city, the amazing food, and of course, that southern hospitality that you don’t see as much in Philadelphia. Even though I had to adjust my ears to not cringe when I hear the word “y’all” instead of “youz guys,” I can wholeheartedly say that attending the University of Texas at Austin was one of the best decisions I have ever made. You must be crazy to not love the Live Music Capital of the World — am I right?
