Hey, there! My name is Thalia Carrillo and I’m the freshest member of the HMG Creative team. I’m thrilled to be the new Social Media and Marketing Intern! I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin less than a month ago, with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a minor in Sociology. My studies brought me to Austin four years ago, but I’m formerly and proudly an El Pasoan. When I’m not in either of those locations, you can find me traveling to places like New York, Mexico City, or Paris. I’ve even attended The University of London, where I studied Social Work.

Following a scintillating Austin summer of endless sunshine, late nights, and outdoor adventures, I’m excited to be kicking off my newest adventure as Marketing Coordinator with HMG Creative!

Originally a Phoenix native, I bravely ventured into the unknown territory of Texas for college in 2006 and never looked back. After a 12 year expedition of all things Dallas, my insatiable curiosity lured me off to the rolling hills of central Texas and landed me in our state’s exploding capital – Austin.

As we look back on SXSW 2018, it is hard to ignore some of the most innovative and unique happenings brought to our backyard this March. Activations, celebrities and creators alike flocked to Austin for a week full of events surrounding the industries of technology, music, film, media, marketing and advertising, journalism and much more. Our very own Founder and Managing Partner, James Trumbly, was lucky enough to attend many of these sessions and could not help but gush about the amazing times he had this year. Can you blame him? What’s up? My name is Anna Vehslage and I am thrilled to join the team at HMG Creative as the new Marketing & Social Media intern. I am entering my senior year at the University of Texas at Austin and will graduate in May with a B.S. in Advertising Management and a Certificate in Business Foundations. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, I made my way to Austin in 2014 as a 3rd generation Longhorn. Although the football team has been disappointing, I still have high hopes they will pull it together for my final season as a student #TeamHerman. I will be sad to leave my 40-acre home in nine short months, but I know “What starts here, changes the world.” When I’m not studying or at work, you can find me at pilates just before I scarf down my weekly cheeseburger—I’m all about a balanced diet.

Hello! My name is Alyssa Zucker and I am thrilled to join the HMG Creative team as the new Social Media and Marketing Intern! I am currently a Sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin, studying Public Relations with a minor in English. I am loving every aspect of being a Longhorn. Coming to Texas from my small town of Manhattan Beach, California, I am fully embracing all the amazing culture Austin has to offer. From learning what it means to “Keep Austin Weird,” to eating my way through the city, I am constantly entertained here. While I will miss being walking distance from the beach, I am excited to immerse myself in the Austin lifestyle, even the excruciating summer heat.

Originally from Kansas City, Kansas, Dave studied Illustration and Graphic Design at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. After leaving the sunshine state, Dave moved to the great city of Austin. In December of 2015, Dave began working for HMG Creative as the email marketing developer and has loved it here since. At work Dave is known for creating top of the line email marketing campaigns, but also known for his recommendations for the best food joints in Austin. On his days off, you can find him spending time with his family outside or shooting guns.

Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Ian Wilson joined the HMG Creative team as a designer and developer. Though that’s what it says on his business card, he helps out with a little bit of everything in the office. Ian attended The University of Texas at Austin and studied Advertising. In his last few years, he was one of the lucky few to be accepted and finish Texas Creative, one of the hardest Advertising programs in the country. GO IAN!
